Overmantle Mirrors
Here we are showing the more traditional overmantle style mirrors, although many other classic decorative mirrors look superb when hung above a fireplace.
When measuring up, here are some guidelines for you:
1) The maximum height should be to within 10cm of the ceiling (keep a 10cm below a cornice if fitted)
2) All dimensions quoted here are the outside dimensions of the mirror - ensure this does not exend beyond the end of the mantle.
3) The frame of the mirror should not be wider than the pillars that are supporting the mantlepiece.
4) The mirror glass should be wider than the aperture of the fireplace.
